Roleplay Hubs: Portable Meeting Stones

Greetings / Mok'rah Adventurers of Azeroth,

Introducing the Portable Meeting Stone!

After seeing some of your input on Roleplay, we have decided to look into helping players with their Roleplay needs. We will be adding a "hub" for players looking to get involved with the realms Roleplayers, so they can connect with others looking for a way to engage in, or begin a storyline. We have taken the idea from this post: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=111, and have selected two main hubs from your suggestions in this thread.

We will be implementing items to use like meeting stones in these two locations, which will be 2 amazing taverns to mingle with friends: Alliance, Stormwind, Oldtown -- Horde, The Barrens, Crossroads. These items/stones will be available for FREE, just talk to Speedy! Our staff is working hard to make these locations as cozy and enjoyable as possible as we speak!

Woah, this sounds great!
If this will work like meeting stones, I assume at least two other players in same party has to be already in the hub, right?
I'm curious on how this will work exactly :)

Originally we were going to make it like meeting stones, but it's much easier to implement an item to use more like a hearthstone. Suppose I should've changed the wording in the announcement :P So you will not need to be in a party to use it, it's individual.

60min cooldown - Crossroads Inn looks very cosy now, nice addition of seating and small camp fire!

Yes, he is correct about the CD.
Thanks! Still trying to think of what to add to the Alliance side, the inn @ Old Town already is filled with cozy items and tables. If any Alliance players have any ideas, let us know, and perhaps we can fix up the place a bit. happy_turtle_head

maybe add some stuff in the inn's basement? as far as I remember there is one but it's empty.

Yeah, some kegs with brew and festive mugs to be filled at would be nice. Also few stools or chairs down too, even a bench would suffice. Two-three candle lamps, this would be awesome! :D

Can you move the location you are teleported to to just outside the tavern? It feels a bit unnatural arriving in a tavern ICly... upstairs with no external doors!

+1 for the teleport location on the street just outside the tavern, or at least in the entrance!

We will look into changing the TP location. Going to work on adding some kegs etc. Thanks for your suggestions :)

I'd suggest to make that portable meeting stone 120 minutes CD and 10 seconds cast time with animation from portal spell for mages (just as example) to be at least visually distinctive from hearthstone.

I agree with Sinrek - cast time with arcane magic animation would be great (as Hearthstone has nature magic animation).

I'd just keep it at 60m though...Although it's a turtle wow realm, that doesn't need to mean to kill every single QoL we have :P

Ok, reviewed the CD time and I believe 60 minutes is ok. But still, MAKE CAST TIME 10 SECONDS PLEASE, to merely stop abuse with instant teleportation.

Uhhm, gotta throw it into suggestions I guess.

I think its also getting removed in the upcoming patch.

A good way to do this feature would be a goblin Golden Saucer where both factions could come to gamble, minigame, party and dance together.

Natural RP/social meeting hub because you come for the minigames but stay for the people.
