Looking at troll, orc or dwarf rogues, this should get a +1, stylewise.

However, the whole game is currently balanced around rogues without axes. Somebody would have to do the math about equipping rogues with axes. I'm lacking the detail knowledge to say for sure that there's no horribly overpowered build lurking behind this.

thrash blade is better. Has an identical 35.2 dps, and with a slow weapon speed so that it synergizes with SS. Thrash blade is also thrown into the trash once a motlen core weapon is obtained lmao

its not really a big math tbh ,axes would unlock better gear progression in pve altho swords would remain bis anyway

I think deathbringer blows pre aq loot completely out of the water due to its incredibly slow swingspeed + proc.

But as others have pointed out, msa is already better.

I still dont like it for raid itemisation reasons. Idmuch rather see more items off all weapon types made available to players via horizontal progression than just making the limited lootpool of axes more contested.

For instance currently vis'kag is a coveted drop for rogues and human warriors. With rogues being able to wear axes, deathbringer overshadows viskag for all but human warriors. These are equally rare drops from the same boss.that doesnt seem ok

Imo this change mostly impacts leveling as suddenly you have another hole weapon class of possible upgrades. Not a bad thing.

Endgame still want the bis naxx sword or be a dagger rogue. Mostly a orc rogue change when it comes to mix maxing.

To positive outweighed the negative. Why not
