destruction (fire) tier set bonus'?

Post by Chulain » Thu Mar 13, 2025 12:58 pm

Why is it that destruction (fire) is being neglected on some tier set bonus'?

I understand that searing pain is a shorter cast and could not have the same effects as for shadow bolt but it seems unfair to exclude fire locks completely from certain set bonus'.

I would suggest to add the following:

Tier 3 have the effect proc for Searing Pain at 50% of the value.
Tier 3.5 have the effect last 1.5 seconds for Searing Pain

The whole setbonus for t3.5 has to be remade both affli and destro, the t3.5 is completely meaningless, that should only be on a honor based pvp item not on a raidgear, it does nothing for pve.
But I agree, if you we make affli specific setbonus then it should have shadowbolt/fire bonus too.

My suggestion for the setbonus would be something that is damage based, so a proc that increases damage for x seconds or a proc that resets soulfire cd on fire and gives a shadow dmg buff on the player for x seconds or something similar. Any idea is better than what is now.

I do agree that some set bonus' are weak or even completely useless for certain sets/classes and should be altered.
Though that's a big step for Turtle knowing they leave out certain specs completely like in this case.
