Increase the respawn timer for many areas.
I can understand a really short respawn timer when a new DLC cames out in that area and people are waiting in line just to kill stuff for quests. But the timer is honestly too short in many areas.
I was in a cave for a quest in northern darkshore and the mobs respawned in maybe 3 minutes or so. And with how tightly grouped they were and the fact I wasn't over leveled for the place or anything and killing them took a while, they were respawning about as fast as I could go forward.
Sucks killing your way into a cave only to get killed by a pathing mob you killed 3 minutes prior while you are fighting a pack in front of you. Or having one of them flee to agro a pack of 3 behind you that you killed recently and they are already back.
Not an issue if you can kill them quick enough, but if you are doing a quest where the mobs are 2 levels above you and you have to be strategic and not just charging in, those short respawn timers are brutal.

That's the exact reason why people on HC suggested to avoid caves. You can do it on your own risk but this exact situation is normal and you need to confident in you strength of clearing it fast enough to keep your way safe.

Glad I am playing on Slow and Steady but not Hardcore. But that timer is just too short given the content and the areas.

just stay away from caves in general, especially if you play hc.

Agreed, definitely not worth it for anyone playing HC or actually questing at their own level solo. But this suggestion is still a valid one that could address that issue.

Retail does something cool called dynamic respawn which keeps base respawn time low (~5 mins) but increases it proportionally to the number of nearby players. This is rly nice for launch events in particular. Idk if it's possible with the current game but it'd solve 2 problems at once.

A good way compromise would be to increase the respawn timer when it comes to caves and other confined spaces where you can't just get around them easily and you are going to be there for a while.
I can understand a few places being like an overworld dungeon tuned to be similar to an instanced one, but those are what the elites are for. The respawn timer should not be a world boss when it comes to doing instances in caves.
