Remastery

Post by Unangwata » Tue Nov 10, 2020 3:15 pm

Once you reach level 60, you would be given choice to go back to lev 1 and start as new class. Benefit of doing so would be passive effect that you receive after 'remastering'. For warrior it would be "former warrior" etc.
Such effect would be different for every class, for example:
-Former Warrior +10 str
-Former Rogue +10agi
-Former Hunter +5agi +5int
etc

These are just examples, you could come up with different ideas for benefit of being former class.
Also there could be permanent buff visual effect icon (in buff zone only) so everybody could see your previous classes.
You could remaster as many times as you want, however you would have to chose carefully your remastery path because you can never return to your former occupation.

A means to keep rerolling your character and keep playing for max efficiency (and show-off).
Side note: all quests would have to be reset but you keep your gear.

Former Paladin, Former Priest, Former Mage

EZ Clap content.

Please, no. It'd be too OP.

I agree on reroll with some side benefits without unequal advantages, some show-off never hurts, really.

It should be something else then. Do you have another idea on this one if it wouldn't be class buffs? Perhaps some certain bonuses for proficiencies which wouldn't be that OP for other former classes?

That's why I said these are just examples. You may be right but I didn't really think of what actual benefits would be. Some practical bonus wouldn't hurt since it involves a lot of dedication. And are not really op because anyone can do it, and those who do would be rewarded.
I'll think of something maybe will come up with some better buffs.

How about:
Former Warrior: reduced repair costs by 50% (gear dependent)
Mage: reduced drink/food cost by 50% and their effectiveness increased by 50%
Hunter: no gear damage on death (feign death)
Rogue: no respec cost (versatility)
Priest: healing spells and effects out of combat 50% more effective
Warlock: Mana regen out of combat 50% more effective
Druid: all natural nodes and animals grant 100% more materials (nature awareness)
Shaman: buff potions last 100% longer, apart from short effects like immunities, speed etc
Paladin: Fashion quest grants double fashion coins (Paladins look good)

Alternatively Shaman and Paladin should get same effect, but I'm not sure what.

I haven't played Skyrim, yet.
Maybe that's all too much. Maybe visual effect would be enough, although I'm not sure it would be appealing. It's just general idea, you probably would come up with something more sensible.

Plus you retain raiding skill, so can use with turtle mount for full speed at lev 1.

How about you get one buff spell from former class. The spell will have cooldown equal to duration so you can't spam it and have to decide who you want to buff.

Paladin: Blessing of Kings
Priest: Power Word: Fortitude
Druid: Thorns
Hunter: Feign Death
Warlock: Summoning Ritual
Mage: Conjure drinks and food
Shaman: Stoneclaw totem

Not sure about Warrior and Rogue
