I personally don't want to place glaives randomly around the world, they are too special for that.

Yeah i agree with you there, maybe a questline with the Cenarion Circle.
I could love to see them ofc only if it fits well into the game.

But what is the item range you are looking for new loot to be concentrating on?
Or you just want more ideas in any range?

Any range works to be honest. Though I'd like more items around the 5-25 level range as crazier ideas require higher levels, just some tame ideas for some items.

Some of these are surely usable. Also the Belt of Giant Strength already exists oddly :P Even if not used directly most of these sparked an idea. Thanks a lot for the help. These will occupy me for some time but I'm still welcome to more ideas, you can never have too many.

Can you make an aoe weapon for warr plz level 55ish we only have the SM Axe atm. Or an upgrade quest for the axe if possible I take anything you make.

Does it? I looked for it and saw Gauntlets of Ogre Strength and a Giantstalker Belt but no Belt of Giant Strength. Wouldn't be shocked if it was in WoW, since it's kind of a classic D&D item, but I didn't see it on either the classic WoW or Turtle WoW databases.

What about a Giant Ring or Wristband that can be worn as a belt because giants are big?
Or how about a gun that shoots bees? Could be a trinket or a proper ranged weapon. Could have limited charges or not. inb4 overpowered

I really like that staff :) I will have another think for more names if you like?
I'm Playing D&D tonight and i will ask my D&D crew for there input.

Dragunovi also let me know if you need any extra hand to 3D model any meshes etc.
I have a background in that kind of thing. Free time is the issue and I'm not as good as i once was but it can be fun.

Speaking of unused weapon models, a warlock staff like the priest benediction/anathema would be great. https://classic.wowhead.com/item=19879/ ... down-staff this is a test item with a unique model that fits perfectly.

Hunter Traps ... as items.

Rather than being Trinkets that need to be equipped, you could rig them as being more like Engineering Bombs (so something you use from inventory) but follow the established vanilla rules for Hunter Traps and share the same cooldowns with Hunter Trap spells. The items themselves would be infinitely reusable, since the shared cooldown on Traps is the limiting factor, so a Hunter would only need 1 such item to enable use (no need to buy more than 1).

The real trick would be finding ways to allow the Survivalist talents to modify such additional Traps so as to integrate them as seamlessly as possible. Of course, ideally you'd want to make such additional Traps as spells that go in the spellbook, but that's a different conversation.

Limit the items to being Hunter Only and call it a day.
  • Lightning Trap (Nature damage single target)
  • Poison Gas Trap (Nature damage AoE)
  • Paint Splatter Trap (think Faerie Fire prevent Stealth debuff effect in an AoE, does not draw Threat to the Hunter, no damage)
  • "Death" Trap (Feign Death AoE)
    After being set, only a Hunter PC can trigger the trap (by stepping onto it, does not need to be the caster!). When activated, the Trap will cast Feign Death on all PCs in the triggering Hunter's party within a radius of 10 feet of the "Death" Trap. Only the Improved Feign Death talent in Survivalist will improve the chances that this effect will not be resisted by hostile foes. Great for "wiping" the party without actually needing to wipe the party!

It might be a good idea to post some of these unused models you want named just to get people's creativity flowing where and if able.

Also, in the past, the server accidentally added a mail shirt (not chest but shirt) with stats for a while. This was eventually corrected. However, the look of a mail undershirt combined with a mail or plate chest piece over it was really good looking in my opinion. Could we get a Mail Undershirt that's a shirt that has the texture of a basic mail chest piece for the cosmetic value but with no stats so it's balanced?

1- I think Zapping Trap sounds better than Lightning trap, immediately zaps the enemy. Might even give it an additional neat effect like purge 1 magical buff or very briefly interrupt spellcasting (Like a mini trap version of shaman abilities)
2- Poison Gas Trap already has the same function as immolation trap (AoE dot)
3 - Paint Splatter Trap is extremely situational especially since it can't be used in combat and hunters already have Hunter's Mark that stops threat.
4- Death Trap makes 0 sense both design and gameplay wise. How does a trap make your allies feign death when a hunter places it then any hunter steps on it. Traps are stepped on by an enemy and carry negative effects. It's even more ridiculous than "healing trap". About gameplay, its hard to pull off as everybody needs to be close to the trap, but pulling it off is broken as it's just an instant reset for the full party, one even faster than reincarnation or soulstone as you have to use those then drink and wait for rez and armor damage... it's simply much better than anything else if you go through the requirements to do it.

A question: is it possible to make custom alcoholic beverages that buff you (similar to items already in the game like Rumsey Rum) by having two on use effects that both have a single charge, with the first effect being the desired buff and the second effect being getting drunk? For example, would this Heroic Brew actually work in the game? Would it get you drunk and buff you for a short period? Or would it simply fail to work properly?

Here are some item names:
Blade of Midnight
Crown of the Mountain King (alternatively, Crown of the Great Thane)
Dancing Shoes (or Dancing Feet; maybe have the Party Time buff as an on-use effect)
Gutshot
Hell Razor
Hushblade
Ironfist
The Ring of Nine Lives
Summersong (and its sister item, Winterwail)
Whisperwind Bow

What about a trinket or a held item that's also cursed? I seem to recall, during the Fordring questline, you could get a buff that made you haunted for 10 minutes, and a little ghost would follow you around. I think that buff was Haunted, but I'm not entirely sure. It didn't do anything, was purely cosmetic, but it might make a nice equip effect for a cursed item, even if it might only work for 10 minutes after equipping it. Maybe something like this: Dead Ned's Head.

Whips can't be added as weapons (or can they?), but you could make a whip as a trinket. Adventurer's Whip uses the spell Lash which is used by a wide variety of mobs yet has a description oddly. Don't know what the animation would be like, though. There's a second identical yet unused Lash spell as well.

Fire damage vs Nature damage ... is an important distinction when dealing with immunities.
Also, I just said Nature damage without specifying instant or DoT (could be either).

Can't make custom spells as I said.
