And change the meta too much. I don't want to imagine a warrior being supported by both a shaman and a paladin in pvp.
A suggestion that may help with faction balance
Re: A suggestion that may help with faction balance
Cross faction pvp would be great if it was possible to make it kick in only when one faction sits in que for like 10 minutes or longer.
Re: A suggestion that may help with faction balance
Can't really see any reason for humans or night elves defending forsaken in Arathi Basin or orcs in Warsong Gulch.

Re: A suggestion that may help with faction balance
Mercenary Mode ... brilliant.
Travel to Ravenholdt to register with an NPC there as a Mercenary for your opposite faction in a battleground, putting you into the queue for that battleground on the specific faction side you've chosen. Requires Glyph of Diplomacy.
This would drive traffic to Ravenholdt, turning it into a "friendly" PvP hub that would be visited rather than ignored.
Mercenary status lasts until exit from the battleground, so it's a one off thing and you need to re-register as a Mercenary each time you want to join the opposing faction's battleground queues.

OK. I'm thinking around Badlands :DSinrek wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 10:21 amI'm all ears, feel free to PM with your ideas or post in a separate thread.Himyname wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 4:21 amMaybe adding more custom quests for Horde would spring some interest to try them on Horde side. Durotar for instance can get as much as Elwynn. And more for 30s, 40s levels.
Also Mulgore is a massive region that could use more quests.
And if goblins get more fleshed out in the future more interests may go to them.
Re: A suggestion that may help with faction balance
There could be more than one hub for it if implemented. Maybe one for allys going to horde queues and one for horde going to ally queues.

Re: A suggestion that may help with faction balance
That's part of why I recommended Ravenholdt, since it is a "neutral" faction, and would drive traffic to Southshore and Tarren Mill ... the classical site of world PvP (aside from Stranglethorn Vietnam, of course).
