Re: Rogues with shields
A buckler is a small shield, mainly used for deflection rather than straight blocking. So It could be a cut down shield size wise and could give a bonus to parry chance.

Re: mercenary AI player BOT (like escort NPC)
That's the rub. What is a player controlled escort npc but simply a long way of saying bot. The whole point of the this server slow and steady pve, no shortcuts, having a minion bot would just let someone cheese the game and steamroll the experience. More power to you if that's your thing, but that ...

Re: mercenary AI player BOT (like escort NPC)
Hunter and Warlock are the exception rather than the rule. The entire class is built around pets, which have a depth that ties back to the class itself. A rando NPC would be similar to an easy button for some classes who were never designed to have a pet tank.

Re: A possible wet debuff
My two cents would be to keep it to a debuff. Maybe one tied to hunger and thirst? So there would be an incentive to eat and drink past regen; the wet debuff could only be for five minutes at most?

Re: A long journey comes to an end...
Took me a few years of attempting to reach 60 on various Vanilla servers to find out I don't enjoy this one bit - in fact I hate it. I only enjoy leveling between level 1 and level 20, after that it becomes a huge pain for me and then I realized WoW is no longer a game I can enjoy. Even after 25,00...

Re: A possible wet debuff
Ooohh, the environment system could really synergize with the other skills too. Tailor for hot and cold weather, leatherwork to make water resistant clothes, heavy armor makes you swim slower, added depth to the game. It would be no small feat but so worth it in the end I think

Re: Diplomacy (again)
Yeah. Realistically the only way I could see it work is to just throw out the main story or at least the players part in it on the macro level. Things happen, events occur, the individual player has no part in the larger story, they are a bit player in the background doing things. Helping here or th...

Re: Diplomacy (again)
While I don't disagree with Balake, I and maybe a few others wouldn't mind something like this purely for the exploration aspect without having to switch to alts for that specific area or quest chain. Ultimately this is an argument of purism vs roleplay, I understand that, and an expanded diplomacy ...

Re: Locked Chests in Capital Cities
I kinda like the hard to reach/hidden locations that rotate idea, honestly. I don't think it'll lead to farming like some fear. If anything it'll give those in the cities something else to do besides talk to vendors, bank, dungeon run and quest. I think it'll bring more explorers to the cities.

I second Naito, Aurrius's rough taste aside, he is one of the most helpful people to meet. Glad I decided to join the guild and strive to be an armorer when I can get on.
