Yeah this is exactly what happened. I never played alliance before so I just assumed it was a normal quest. I can't believe they designed it this way, I read about glyphs and assumed hardcore mode was a glyph and there would be giant red warning flags before you turned something so important on. Unb...

I didn't activate hardcore mode
I created a new character and was playing it (Frumple, Alliance), I died and it claimed I was in hardcore mode. I definitely never activated hardcore mode but I don't know how to prove this. Is this a bug? Do new characters start in hardcore mode? How could this have happened? I am a parent and have...
